About ReOfSun Family Adventures

Hey!

We are Kevin and Rachel! Kevin and I along with our children Leeann & David will take you along on our adventures.  We are starting this blog/vlog for our family and friends to see what we do and why we love to do it.  We will take you camping, swimming, and hiking and any other adventure we can take you along for.  Our kids Leeann and David are into different kid activities. Leeann dances and plays softball, she is learning how to cook and play the clarinet.  David is still learning what he loves to do, he recently started Fencing and LOVES it.  He plays baseball, video games and he is trying his hand a vlogging himself (usually just silly videos).

I hope you all enjoy following us this summer for our adventures! This is all new to us so if it is rough let us know and we will try to improve our format as needed!!

Thanks for reading

Camp LeConte – Gatlinburg Tennessee

Over the kids Easter break, we spent Easter in Gatlinburg Tennessee. We found Camp LeConte - Luxury Outdoor Resort which is located close to what we consider the craft loop. This RV Park has about 20 sites and where it is located it was quite peaceful. We got a back in site with full hookup which had 20, 30 and 50 AMP electric service. Each site had a night light tied into the 20 AMP service. ice. There was water and sewer hook-up and with how low our camper's sewer hookup we had trouble with drainage. I think if we…

Iowa State Fair

Newton KOA On our way out west, we discovered that we would catch the end of the Iowa State Fair. We decided to shift some of our days around and planned a one day stay at Newton KOA which is east of Des Moines Iowa. Newton KOA The KOA, like most was right of the highway but was an extremely well taken care of KOA. The night we arrived the KOA held an ice cream social. Who can say no to ice cream? They even had a yellow Smart Car KOA with personalized plates. Newton KOA…

Kamp Komfort – Carlock Illinois

On our way to Des Moines, Iowa; we stopped over night at Kamp Komfort in Carlock, Illinois which was right off interstate I74. Once we got checked in, we were escorted to our campsite and left to get settled. The RV park was well taken care of, lots of adult trees with shade. There was a small camp store at the registration office, pool, and a dog walking area. As this was our first stop and we did not notice or check if there was a laundry facilities. The site we had was full hook up, they did not allow fires. It was a nice size…
Batesville KOA

Batesville KOA

We made a trip out to the Batesville KOA. The KOA checking was an old gas station and they have maintained gas pumps this is an excellent setup to handle large RV rigs. The KOA was also part of Thousand Trails RV Resort system, a system where you can buy into the camp season and camp as often as you want. The size of the "lake" was not what the map made it out to be.   Saturday we went canoeing with our Cub Scout troop at Green Acres. We went on a 3 mile canoe trip, the river was low but…
